GratEX® and RailEX® on Quench Tower
An oil and gas company was looking for a solution to restore the framework of their quench towers due to deterioration from the corrosive environment. The main worry was the continual exposure to the precipitation of impurities and gasses. As a result, it was improbable to install traditional materials.
Treadwell’s ACCESS SYSTEMS range provided the right solution. GratEX® FRP grating and RailEX® FRP handrails were eventually installed. These systems were light in weight that made the replacement process easier. We also minimised their future maintenance cost as FRP is maintenance free. More importantly, FRP is resistant to the chemicals present given the right resin formulation.
