FRP Profile at Glenfield Train Station
Treadwell supplied a shipment of FRP channels from the ArchitEX™ range to support the rebuild of the South West Rail Link at Glenfield Junction in Sydney. The project was touted as an innovative and complex infrastructure project as work was carried out while the rail operations were continued in full swing. It was a most constrained site for installation and revamping.
Thankfully, ArchitEX™ channels are made lightweight and allows much greater maneuverability. Installation was made easy as a result. The non-electrical conductivity and RF transparency nature of FRP are great beneficial characterisitics that truly suited the nature of the application. The need for maintenance was also lowered given that FRP required little or no maintenance over time.
