Sydney Trains Platforms
Treadwell provided a long term, anti-slip solution for a series of FRP platforms for Sydney trains with the utilisation of FRP grating, structural profiles and handrails. Situated along a river environment and needing a structure that did not interfere with transmission while being non-conductive, FRP was the suitable choice for the application.
Supplying GratEX®, ArchitEX® and RailEX®, Treadwell has given the composite advantage as all the profiles are non-conductive, RF transparent, non-slip and most importantly, corrosion resistant. In addition, each FRP platform is virtually maintenance free. Completed on schedule without disruption to daily operations, the usage of FRP also minimised the size and depth of the structure that borders the river.
